Am Sonntag will der schwulenfeindliche Hasssänger Bounty Killer in London auftreten. In mehreren Städten des Vereinigten Königreichs hat der Sänger gewaltverherrlichender Lieder Auftrittsverbot. Nicht so in London. Es ist schier unglaublich, welche Haltung die Behörden dort einnehmen. Peter Tatchell berichtet aus London:

The concert of the Jamaican “kill faggots” singer Bounty Killer will go ahead this Sunday in London with the official sanction of the Home Secretary and the Acting Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.

The police say that unless there are threats of riots they will not cancel the concert.

Jacqui Smith [Innenministerin, TGD] and Sir Paul Stephenson [neuer Chef des Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) in London, TGD] have ignored all polite, peaceful lobbying by the LGBT community. They have treated our community with total contempt.

They condemn gun and knife crime, and deplore the terrible killings of young Londoners, yet they facilitate a singer who promotes murder.

The MPS would only cancel Bounty Killer’s concert if there is a likelihood of public disorder.

This is a tacit encouragement of violent protests.

The police are effectively saying that if someone to threatens to firebomb the concert venue and kill the manager they will cancel the performance. Otherwise, if the protests are peaceful, the police will ignore them.

It is utterly appalling that the Met Police will only respond to threats of Violence and will ignore peaceful lobbying. This is a complete disgrace.

Perhaps the gay community should threaten to bomb and burn? Then the police might listen to us.

New Scotland Yard’s approval of Bounty Killer’s concert, despite him committing the criminal offence of incitement to murder, is absolutely shameful.

How much more explicit do Bounty Killer’s incitements to murder need to be?

die Worte, die der homophobe Mob brüllt, sind die selben, die Bounty Killer verwendet,

und alles was der Londoner Polizei einfällt, ist, darauf hinzuweisen, dass man den Auftritt von Bounty Killer nur dann unterbinden werde, wenn mit gewaltsamen Ausschreitungen gegen diesen Auftritt zu rechnen sei.

Vielleicht sollten sich die Frau Innenministerin und der Herr Polizeichef mal mit dem Staatssekretär im Ministerum für Entwicklungshilfe, Garath Thomas, zusammensetzen. Der weiß nämlich ziemlich genau, was Schwulenhasser wie dieser Bounty Killer anrichten:

“During those visits I have been struck by the extent to which homophobia and the anti-gay legislation is impacting the effort to fight the surge of HIV infections,” he said.

During a recent meeting with Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Trade Minister, Mr Thomas raised the issue head on.

“We had an acknowledgment there was an issue, though there was not a conversation about immediate next steps,” he said.

Mr Thomas also met with members of Jamaica’s gay community and said he was shocked by their experiences.

“Some of their stories are horrific,” he told PinkNews.co.uk.

“People who have been forced out of churches, out of their jobs and on occasion, violence.

Statt dessen versuchen sie, schwule Menschen zur Gewalttätigkeiten zu provizieren. Vermutlich um dann per Pressemitteilung zu verkünden, die Schwulen hätten mit Gewalt ein Konzert des friedliebenden Bounty Killer verhindert.
